Sunday, Jan 5, 1913.
No news from George.  Read Sunday papers in morning then short nap after lunch  Mild and dry weather. Motored to Hasslachers house with [strikethrough]] Clel [[/strikethrough]] Celine. She went
to Herter's house for concert and fetched me at Hasslacher's on her return
Dorothy here for supper.  To bed early.
Jan. 6.  Finally got letter from
[[underlined]] George [[/underlined]] which he wrote Thursday but which was delayed until now. He is well and returned late in evening and went to bed.
I remained here all day.

Jan 7. [[underlined]] George [[/underlined]] seems to have enjoyed
his vacation to the uppermost  Went to office on afternoon to confer about royalties for [underlined]] Condensite Co. [[/underlined]] with Hasslacher and Dubois.  Foggy rainy weather.  Went to Brooklyn to see new installation of
experimental plant of [[underlined]] Royal Baking Powder Co. [[/underlined]]

It makes very good impression. Paulus

Went to Chemists Club to meet [[underlined]] Harold Binney [[/underlined]] by appointment.  He again arrived there with a taxicab in which I saw a woman and another man [[strikethrough]] [[?]] [[/strikethrough]] I told him he
