Same cheap [[underline]] superficial, and cynical [[/underline]] and gray as formerly and showing [[underline]] much lack of information and [[/underline]] tendency towards generalisation Afternoon I went to a [[underline]] cinema-biograph palace [[/underline]] as there are many in Europe, where before long tables people were drinking beer. this stupid play. so went to another theater. Les Maris de Leontine. Vulgar french play coarse etc.
Coming back to hotel felt hungry but regular restaurant was closed so was refered to Grill-room. where I ordered some sole. There I found dancing between the [[red line in left margin]] eaters several couples of women dressed in exaggeratedly fashionably style who after every dance sat down by themselves before empty glasses and insinuated by thir [[/red line in left margin]] nods and signs and direct alliances that they desired to get nearer acquainted etc.
An American with his wife who sat next to me made the remark: [[Red bracket in left margin]] the cost of high living in the U.S would soon be settled if our [[strikethrough]] women and a wife [[/strikethrough]] wives and daughters ceased asking them [[strikethrough]] deferr [[/strikethrough]] dresses after the expensive dresses made for parisian prostitutes who do not have to pay for it and wear them regardless of cost or comfort. This place kept by the hotel like many similar ones is simply a gilded den for low vice connections [[strikethrough]] and [[/strikethrough]] under a fashionable cloak. Women living on vice everywhere here, in every restaurant street, amusement house everywhere Went to bed at midnight.
