It was the spring of 1900, 24 years ago, Burpee's seed we began to sow.
When we were first married, we had a small garden plot in our back yard, and as we were domestically inclined we decided to try out luck at raising a garden.
The next thing, where should we buy our seeds.
My parents always raised a fine garden, planting Burpee's Seeds, so, we decided we would buy them.
We took pains in planting the different varieties we bought, and watched closely to see them break through the soil.

Transcription Notes:
@siobhanleachman:- I've received a reply from TC via twitter @transcribesi about this issue. They say "YES put No./Date at top or bottom (sep from txt) - AAG wants this text searchable BUT we also want coherence of letter" @siobhanleachman:- I've placed the circled number and the date stamp at the top of the page as they are later additions added to the letter by Burpee staff. Also followed standard TC practice and added spaces between [[circled]] text [[circled]] etc. please don't rearrange text.
