We had melons, cabbages and beets,
Cucumbers, onions too,
And everything we planted,
Why it just grew and grew.

Years passed by, still we ne'er
Lost faith in Burpee's seeds,
We found them ever very good,
They filled our garden needs.

Did we gain wealth? No, never,
But, oh! the joy we had;
Our neighbors too, shared with us,
Which made us doubly glad.
