(Sunday) August 17th. 1890.
Monday we rode to the hunt again, it met at Coddington Point in a large field well filled with carriages. The ride for those who followed was very hard, and almost all could not get over every one of the fences, but had to go a more round about way. Alfred and I rode pretty hard and were in at the death some of the first ones. 
Tuesday a woman was almost drowned in bathing. It was the Caroll's governess, and she was out swimming when suddenly taken with a cramp. Someone was with her, and called to the man in the boat who emediately rowed up. He
