This morning we saw icebergs! One enormous one with lots of other little ones about it, and a smaller one also with small ones

around it. I have seen icebergs before so it was nothing very strange to me, but as it was a good while ago I scarcely remember. It was in 1884 and we saw 19 all at once. It much have been beautiful for two large ones and lots of little bits of ones were pretty enough. After we had passed them a lovely calm seemed suddenly to be spread all over the ocean as far as we could see, in other words, the wind went down, and really a lovelier day at sea could not be imaginable.
