drive at four.  The meet was at Eastman's Point, and we were there.  We only followed a short ways, then turned, we had scarcely done so when it began to rain.  
By the time we reached Merton Road it was raining so hard that we determined to stop under the trees there  This we did, but the rain instead of getting less got more, and I don't know what we should  have done if the coachman had not passed and seen us, and brought two waterproofs.  These we put on, and Else holding up the umbrella, we started.  At first it hardly rained at all, and we were perfectly comfortable,
