Parula Warblers - one in maple tree, others [[strikethrough]] in [[/strikethrough]] around in woods. Sang Constantly "whee-ee-ee-ee-zeah" sneezing, bubbling sound. 
One 2½ foot water snake 
Red-eyed (?) vireo - "cheer-up-where is it - cheer up-there it is."

Male redstart.

A number of Black-throated Blue Warblers - across logs at falls - in laurels, drinking. One high in oak - catching insects on wing - picking them off young shoots - running down limb - spreading tail like redstart. Aug 18, 1928 - Rain - orioles back - 1 hawk, 40 yds - snapping turtle - 1 rabbit.

Sept. 1, 1928 - 1 squirrel

Oct. 13 or 20 - 1 black snake - total 10 to date.
Oct. 27, 1928 - Crippled 1 squirrel in gum tree; Killed 1 [[strikethrough]] two [[/strikethrough]] rabbit - 1 hawk.
Nov. 1, 1928 - First White-throated sparrow.
Nov. 28, 1928 - Carolina wren on path.
