27    October 1862.
[[underlined]] Wednesday 15. [[/underlined]] I commenced a small fruit piece [[insertion]] N. 84[[/insertion]] this morning and painted all day dead-colouring it. Mrs. Peale, Louisia and Albert went in the buggy to Potte. soon after breakefast to get his teeth attended to by Mr. Woodnot, he took out 3 young teeth from the upper jaw that were growing outside of the second set. The lower set he didnot touch. He remained in Potte. and the ladies got home after dark.
Charles Wormcassil planted the greater part of the currant bushes today that were taken from the front yard.

[[underlined]] Thursday 16.[[/underlined]] I have been working all day with the Pot Plants and as fast as I got them cleaned and dressed Mary arranged them in her greenroom. Geo. took a load of Apples to Potte. [[w]] 50 cts per bushel.

[[underlined]] Friday 17.[[/underlined]] I painted all day on N. 84. Edward and Mary went to Potte. son after breakfast. George put back this end of the old Orchard fence [[opposite]] the mulbery tree so as to straightening the road.
Albert came from Potte. in the carrs this morning. E & M didnot get home until near nine oclock this evening.

[[underlined]] Saturday 18.[[/underlined]] I painted all the morning on N. 84 and then Mary nearly finished the bunch of grapes. Geo. & boys have been all day gathering Apples. Edward went to Potte. after breakfast and returned after dark, he has been looking after the Volunteers that have been looked over & some credited to other Townships several others are engaged in the same cause, he takes the lower section of the township.

[[underlined]] Sunday 19.[[/underlined]] Mrs. Peale and Louisia went to church. Mrs. Latimer & child are better. This has been a mot delightful day more so than any for some time past, it clouded up from the s.w about 5 oclock threatening rain.

[[underlined]] Monday 20.[[/underlined]] Edward went to Potte. this morning on account of volunteers and has not yet returned. I painted a part of the morning on N. 84 also Mary. She has been arranging the flowers & Pictures.
