[[underlined]] Monday 27. [[/underlined]] It has been rather unpleasant today it rained in the night and all this morning which kept me in doors. E. got an elbow & zinc for kitchen stove.

[[underlined]] Tuesday 28. [[/underlined]] I put 2 pans of glass in kitchen window with other repairs etc. Edward and Louesia went to Reading in the Buggy soon after breakefast.  Mary & Alfred went at noon to Potte. and returned to supper.  I fixed the stove pipe in Marys studio this morning & made a fire.

[[underlined]] Wednesday 29. [[/underlined]] I potted the remainder of the Verbenas went with Mary & Albert to S. Haven this afternoon called to see how Mrs. Lattimer & Mrs. Levan, both are a little better today. Got from the Express office the canvas that Mary sent for a few days ago.

[[underlined]] Thursday 30. [[/underlined]] I traced the greater part of the coppey of Matildas Fruit piece this morning, but I was so unwell that I had to give it up to Mary, she commenced her coppey of it.
I have been several days labouring with a bilious attack.

[[underlined]] Friday 31. [[/underlined]] I was too unwell all day to do anything. Albert went this afternoon to Ashland in the carrs. Mary took him to S. Haven.

[[double underlined]] Saturday November 1st. 1862. [[/ double underlined]]  I painted a good part of the day, commenced a large Fruit Piece, a coppey of Matildas which was painted by my Uncle James N. 85 Mary has been all the afternoon fixing moss, bark & ferns in her green-room etc.

[[underlined]] Sunday 2. [[/underlined]] I am rather better today by the use of the Flax-seed tea and this evening Mary has made me some onion syrup to take when I get to bed.
James Patterson and all his  family spent the afternoon here.
