[[underlined]] Tuesday 4.[[/underlined]] I painted a part of the afternoon on N. 85
William Pattersons wife (Mary-Jane) and Miss Mary [[strikethrough]] [[A-ds?]] [[/strikethrough]] also ann Weaver called.
Edward and Louisia came from [[strikethrough]] from [[/strikethrough]] her Fathers got home near dusk, well pleased with their visit. George is still plowing above the orchard.

[[underlined]] Wednesday 5. [[/underlined]] I painted all day on N. 85. Mary & her mother has been all day fixing the Chambers after the operation of whitewashing. Revd. Mr. Lattimer came this afternoon, supped with us and before going away prayed with us.

Edward had a hog killed This evening. Ed. has had 2 men all day at the drain in the little meadow below the house.

[[underlined]] Thursday 6. [[/underlined]] I painted all day on No. 85. Edward went to Potte. this morning, brought home plates for the kithen stove, & lamp for the Lanthern.

[[underlined]] Friday 7.[[/underlined]] I painted all day on N. 85. Edward had the two wormcassels at work all the morning they removed a good deal of the rich earth opposite this house levelling the ground & but it begun to snow, they then brought the dresser and cooking stove from the outer kitchen & put them in their winter quarters. Louisia has been making a change in her carpets, took up the parlour one and replaced it with the front chamber one, she intends making the parlour a sitting room. Mary has been sewing the new entry carpet together. We had fire in our parlour today for the first time this season. Snow commenced falling about noon & continued ever since

[[underlined]] Saturday 8. [[/underlined]] I painted all day on No. 85. and Mary on the Tuscan Hat. Edward went this morning to St. Clair to see if he could sell Bulk Hay. D $ 18.

[[underlined]] Sunday 10.[[/underlined]] We have spent a quiet day, the snow on the ground made it not pleasant for a carriage & not good enough for sleighing, so we had no company, it cleared off handsomely
