[[underlined]] Sunday 7.[[/underlined]] This morning was so windy and cold that many of the plants in Marys green room were frosted we have had no company today, I saw nothing passing all day, the wind lulled toward evening & old underated

[[underlined]] Monday 8.[[/underlined]] I prepaired the pickle and put it on the meat. painted a little on N. 85, and looked at Mary painting &c. George took a load of Oats to Potte. and brought back Coal for Edwards house.
E. has been all day with the men bailing hay.

[[underlined]] Tuesday 9.[[/underlined]] I painted this afternoon on N. 85. the morning was engaged about the house & looking at Mary paint &c. Mrs. Peale has been quite indisposed with a severe cold like myself we are both better this evening.

[[underlined]] Wednesday 10.[[/underlined]] I painted a part of the afternoon commenced another coppey of uncle Jame's fruit piece belonging to James Patterson N. 86. I was quite unwell all the morning. 3 Pigs froze to death.

[[underlined]] Thursday 11th.[[/underlined]] I painted all the afternoon on N. 86 & in the morning on N. 85. Put up the stovepipe in the small room for Mary. I am much better today than I have been for several days past. Mrs. Peale didnot come home with Edward this evening.

[[underlined]] Friday 12.[[/underlined]] Edward put a new lining to our parlour stove this morning I assisted him, last night I was quite unwell had much uneasiness in my chest, pains in my head, arms, back &c legs cold above my knees, coundnot warm them until Mary supplied me with a hot iron. got up much better took my medicine. painted a little in the hall & left it for Mary to finish. I painted all the afternoon on N. 86.
This has been the most pleasant day that we have had for some time.

[[underlined]] Saturday 13.[[/underlined]] I painted all day on N. 86. and the sashes in our hall for Mary who finished the other painting
