[[underlined]] Thursday 25th. [[/underlined]] Edward and Louisia went to church this morning. Mary and Louisia went this afternoon to see the repast in the basement of the church which was furnished by the congregation of St. James's to the sunday school, the tables were elegantly decorated and furnished with a profusion of delicacys &c 125 were present.
I painted all day on N. 77.
Mrs. Peale's cold is rather better today.

[[underlined]] Friday 26. [[/underlined]] I sat to Mary this morning for a portrait to match her mothers (large oval) after dinner on looking at what she had done, she was not satisfied with the position. Mrs. Cris. Snyder came to spend the day in the afternoon Mrs Levan, Sarah her two nieces and Mrs. Sayler came, and then Amelia & Emina Pott came, so I didnot sit again. The men have been thrashing all day with the machine.
Mrs. Tatham sent a package by the Express containing articles for Mrs. Peale, Mary & a book for Fanny.

[[underlined]] Saturday 27. [[/underlined]] I painted the greater part of the day on N. 77 Revd. Mr. Wolf sat to Mary this morning for his portrait (large oval) Sarah Levan came with him. Mary & Mrs. Peale rode to S. Haven this afternoon, she is rather better for the ride. Edward is still bailing hay at Saylers farm below the Landing, he has finished all his thrashing. 40° calm 50° calm clo 2 w. 42°. calm s e clo 1 s w.
[[underlined]] Sunday 28th. [[/underlined]] Mary went to church alone and dined at Mrs. Levans, Mrs. Peale was up a little while her cough is much better, she took sedilets and feels better

[[underlined]] Monday 29th [[/underlined]] I painted the greater part of the day on N. 77. William Levan sat this morning to Mary for his portrait she mad a good beginning. After dinner she and Louisia went to Potte. to get naples yellow and other things got home just after dusk. Mrs. Peale has been about all day & is now with us making a dress.
