[[underlined]] Sunday 8. [[/underlined]] None of us went to church the morning being stormy snow rain and hail towards noon it moderated.  We wanted to be at church as a new clergeymas was to officiate.
Mrs. Peale is much under the weather, having a gathering in her ear, giving her much pain.

[[underlined]] Monday 9. [[/underlined]] Burdee sat this morning to Mary. I was not well enough to paint any today. I became engaged in reading and unfortunately the print was too small which gave me a severe headake, and a cup of coffee made me better this evening. Mrs. Peale seems much better this evening.

[[underlined]] Tuesday 10. [[/underlined]] Mr. Graeff sat to Mary this morning and after he went away I painted a little on N. 89. Rev]d. Mr. Wolf brought Mrs. Levan and Mr. Bostler of NY. to see his portrait. Mr B belonged to the Grey Reserves. he appeared pleased with the portrait & so was Mrs. Levan.

[[underlined]] Wednesday 11. [[/underlined]] Mary took and May and Burdie to the carrs this morning in the carriage and George took the baggage in the spring wagon.
I painted all day on N. 89.

[[underlined]] Thursday 12. [[/underlined]] I painted all day on N. 89. Mrs. Peale and Mary went this afternoon to S. Haven and encountered a violent snow storm for a little while. Edward came home at noon from Phila. left Louisia.
22°. calm clear. 41° w clo 5 w. about 3 oclock a squall of snow for a half hour. 20°. n w clear.
[[underlined]] Friday 13. [[/underlined]] Mr. Graeff sat to Mary this morning I painted all the afternoon on N. [[strikethrough]] 89 [[/strikethrough]] 88.

[[underlined]] Saturday 14. [[/underlined]] I painted all day on N. 89. Made 3 lb of mould candles etc. Eddy & John P. came this afternoon.

[[underlined]] Sunday 15. [[/underlined]] We have had no visitors today. Edward went this afternoon to Potte. to stay all night, to see persons early tomorrow on business before they go to the mines.
