[[/underlined]] I painted nearly all day on N. 91 and 92 Lydia,, her sister Mrs. Moore & Fredericks wife Elizabeth came came this morning and dined with us, but didnot stay to tea. We took in this evening some of the pot plants, [[dash underlined]] Edward was [[/underlined]] yesterday Drafted for the War.

[[underlined]] Saturday 26. [[/underlined]] Mrs. Graeff sat to Mary this morning. I cleaned off the Potts & Plants & Mrs. Try washed the potts and Mary arranged them in her Green-Room this afternoon. Miss Catharine Levan and Miss Small called toward evening. Edward sent a load of Hay to S. Haven for Mr. A Fisher.

[[underlined]] Sunday 27. [[/underlined]] Edward, Louisia and Mrs. Peale went this morning to Cressona Church. Revd. Mr. Lattimer preached.

[[underlined]] Monday 28. [[/underlined]] I skuffeled all the strawberries this morning, and painted on N. 91. until 3 oclock. Mr. and Mrs. Latimer, and the two Miss Warners came this afternoon He has been drafted and sent a substitute to the war.

[[underlined]] Tuesday 29. [[/underlined]] I worked all the morning in the garden dressed the Celery &c.  Mrs. Graeff sat to Mary this morning. Mr. G. came with her.
  Mr. F. Gowen & wife and his sister came this afternoon, they came from Mount Airy last week.
  Mrs. Bannan & daughter Zealia, and Mrs. B's sister Ridgeway.  [[dash underlined]] Lean left [[/underlined]] our service this morning because she couldnot please Mary, but she returned again this afternoon.

[[underlined]] Wednesday 30. [[/underlined]] I painted on N. 91 all the morning and in the afternoon worked in the garden, preparing for cold weather.

[[double underlined]] Thursday October . 1st. 1863. [[/underlined]] I painted the greater part of the day on N. 91. Mary painted on Burdes portrait this morning.

[[underlined]] Friday 2. [[/underlined]]  I worked all day in the garden cleaned and wed Mrs. Peale's strawberry bed and covered with decayed leaves or wood earth, &c. Burdie sat to Mary this morning. Edwards Men are still baling Hay at the Barn.
