[[underlined]] Monday 5. [[/underlined]] I painted most of the day on N. 91. Coll. Oliphant & Lady and Miss Bartholomew and Mary came from Potte. this morning. The Coll. has charge of the Invilid Core now encamped on Lawton Hill, Pottsville.

[[underlined]] Tuesday 6. [[/underlined]] I painted a part of the morning on N. 91. Mrs. Campbel & son, Mrs. Innis & Son & Miss Amelia Pott & Miss Lewis the sister of Mrs. Campbel came early this morning to spend the day, the boys with their guns. And in the afternoon Mr. & Miss Wolf came but didnot stay to tea. Miss Pott took Mrs. Innis & Miss Lewis home after tea and Edward took to the carrs Mrs. Campble, & son and Tommy Innis in the carriage.
George took a load of Hay & brought back a load of Coal from St. Clair for us.

[[underlined]] Wednesday 7. [[/underlined]] I skinned and mounted a Greeb or commonly called Diver, which Miss Levan brought for me yesterday shot
Edward brought from the Carrs this morning a [[underlined]] horse power Baling Machine[[/underlined]]

[[underlined]] Thursday 8.[[/underlined]] I painted all the morning on N. 91, although it was very dark and rainy. James Patterson & Matilda came early this afternoon they thought it was clearing up when they started, but it rained briskly before they got here.

[[underlined]] Friday 9th. [[/underlined]] Edward and his men went to Mr. Sailors farm to press hay with the horse machine that he took there yesterday, it works well.
I painted the greater part of the day on N. 91.
Edward sent a load of Hay and brought back Coal. [[St. C ?]] filled his bin and put the balance in ours.
