[[underlined]] Saturday 7 [[/underlined]] I painted all day on N. 93.
Mrs. Graef sat this morning to Mary, and after dinner she walked to S. Haven. The carpenter made a new frame & hung the front door a new &c.

[[underlined]] Sunday 8.[[/underlined]] Mr. William Levan this afternoon brought Mary home, we had no other company today, it commenced raining just before she came home but soon stopped.
38°. calm s w white frost, clear. 54°. s w clo 9 n w. a shower about sunset which lasted but a short time. 40°. calm n w, clear.
[[underlined]] Monday 9.[[/underlined]]. I painted all day on N. 93.  Mr. Levan sat to Mary this morning. The carpenter at work with the front porch. Edward went to Potte. this morning got materials for it and sulphate of zinc for the whitewash, lock for the front door &c.

[[underlined]] Tuesday 10. [[/underlined]] Mrs. Shannan was to have sat to Mary this morning, she didnot come, and I sat to Mary until dinner time. I then prepared the paint of the new wood work, and put a new lock on the front door &c. The carpenter is preparing the framework for the front porch. 
Thomas and Lewis Walker came this afternoon.

[[underlined]] Wednesday 11. [[/underlined]] I painted all day on N. 93. and fixed a lock for Louisia.  Mrs. Graef sat to Mary this morning, and dined with us. 
The carpenter has got the porch nearly ready for the shingling. Edward is having the ditch in front of his house to carry off the water by placing a heavey plank as a curb.

[[underlined]] Thursday 12. [[/underlined]] I commenced and dead coloured a bunch of Malaga grapes, a coppey of the one I commenced in Phila.  Mrs. Bast sat to Mary this morning and dined with us, also Miss [[?]].

[[underlined]] Friday 13.[[/underlined]] I painted the greater part of the morning on N. 93. Mended a box for Mary, painted first coat on the east end of the porch and planted the Double Prarie Rose there trimming it down well, as the roots have been several days exposed.
They have finished takeing in the Corn. & Thrashed this afternoon it. Mrs. Bast sat to Mary this morning, she
