[[underlined]] Saturday 14.[[/underlined]] I painted the greater part of the  day on N. 93. James & Matildia and all his family came down accompanied by Louis Walker and spent the morning here. Mrs. Peale went up with them. The carpenter didnot quite finish the porch Today. Joseph Patterson sent to the Landing a carr load of his Coal from Ashland in large lumps.
Mary got by the Express a number of heads (Lythographic) which Rembrand got in Paris, they are a present from his widow Harriet. She also sent a Lythographic of Henry Clay as a present to me.
35° calm, fog, clear. 54°se clo 5 s e. 54° n e commenced to rain at 8 oclock.
[[underlined]] Sunday 15. [[/underlined]] It has been raining all day off & on. Began to clear off about six oclock this evening.

[[underlined]] Monday 16.[[/underlined]] I painted all this morning on 93. gave the east end of the porch a second coat of paint. Mr. Levan sat to Mary this morning Miss Hoonbringer came with him. Edward took Louisia & Fanny this morning & left them there. Geo. brought coal from the carrs the men are still baling hay.
Mrs. Try has whitewashed the entry, stairs & upper entry. She and Leer scrubbed the paint & floors finished before noight. The carpenter finished the front porch, made repairs to the privey & sinks for the wash house and E.[[?]] kitchen to carry away the the water instead of throwing it about the doors.

[[underlined]] Tuesday 17.[[/underlined]] I painted all the morning on N. 93. it being cloudy & dark I didnot work more on it, begun to paint the went end of the porch. I then painted the stairs & c. filled the holes of the old lock & done other repairs. 
They finished the Hay and took the Apporatus this afternoon to Mr. Tailors below the Landing.
The Carpenter fixed the pig-pen in the lower garden Mrs. Shannan sat to Mary this morning.
Edward went this afternoon to S. Haven for Louisia but she didnot come in the carrs.
