[[underlined]] Wednesday 20th. [[/underlined]] I finished the first coat on Marys windowshutters and mixed the green for them and ours &c. dressed the feathers of the Pheasant and Partridge, unpacked the canvas and Paint just received from Phila.
  Ann Elizabeth Hubley came from Reading at noon, she walked from the Landing through the mud. Fanny sat to Mary this morning.

  [[underlined]] Thursday 21. [[/underlined]] I painted all day on N. 97 another [[dash underlined]] Happy Family of Partridges [[/dash underlined]] with the same Landscape, a view on the Juniatta River, from Weber. for Mr. Bast of Ashland. dead coloured the sky and distant hills.

  [[underlined]] Friday 22. [[/underlined]] I painted all day on N. 98 a Pheasant or Ruffed Grouse for James Patterson, painted the outside of Mary's glass door, the first coat. 
  Mary and the two Edwards went soon after breakefast to Potte. Mrs. Peale returned with them this evening, Mary did not come as Mrs. Atwood was in Potte.

[[underlined]] Saturday 23. [[/underlined]] I painted all day on N. 97 (I mean six hours painting, is considered a days work.) and gave Mary's shutters a coat of green paint.

  [[underlined]] Sunday 24th [[/underlined]] This has been a very fine day. I wrote to William J. Bell enclosing My Photograph for his son Rubens.

  [[underlined]] Monday 25. [[/underlined]] I painted all the morning on N. 97 and in the afternoon on N. 98, made 3 Lb of Mould Candles. Mrs. Peale went to the woods and got me Laural, Moss, and a variety of small plants to paint from in N. 98.

  [[underlined]] Tuesday 26. [[/underlined]] I painted all day on N. 97 & 98. Edward brought this afternoon from S. Haven, Mary and Mrs. Atwood who came from Potte. in the carrs.

Mrs. Peale & Mrs. Atwood arranged the Moss, Laural, Ferns, Tea-berries &c &c on the rock on which the Pheasant stands, grouping them very handsomely for me
