173  July 26th 1864.
Albert and Clarra came from Phila. this morning. Eddy Patterson came this morning to see his Aunt and then went to the Landing for  A & C and brought them here. Albert weighs 89 Lb and Clarra 88 1/2 Lbs. Edward went this morning to Potte. and returned this evening, he says that his Uncle Burd sent $100 and Joseph $100 to Burd to purchase a horse with he having had the misfortune to loose his last week. Edward sent him a set of new harness & fly net.

Mary's little girl Calla Kigerslager commenced this morning.
[[underlined]] Wednesday 27.[[/underlined]] I worked a little in the garden, but not feeling very well I did but little and could not paint. Mrs. Hubley came up from the farm this morning. Mrs. Peale is much better today.

[[underlined]] Thursday 28. [[/underlined]]  I painted all the morning on N. 104.  Mrs. Peale has had a good deal of uneasiness today but the Dr. thinks she will be better after it, on the whole she is better, being stronger.
Amelia Pott, walked over from Benny Potts this morning and spent the day with us, Mrs. John Pott called for her this evening.
Mr. & Mrs. Newel and Mrs. D. Shippen called this afternoon to see Mrs. Peale.
Edward took Louisia, Mrs. Hubley & Fanny below Orwigsburg this morning, got home to dinner.

I painted all the morning on N. 102 & 103 finished the background of them.
Albert assisted in thrashing oats.

[[underlined]] Saturday 30. [[/underlined]]  Mrs. Peale had a good night and is better today than yesterday.

Mrs. Hubley and Louisia went this morning to Potte.
