this morning, they are members of the Corporation, they came to Potte. on Thursday to see after the Gerard Estate. 
I painted a part of the day on No. 103. had Mrs. Try working in the garden all day, she dug a little and cleaned up a goo deel. I gathered my beans & Carraway seed. 
Edward & Louisia went to Potte. this morning got home by 2 oclock, he got wove wire to make a screan for coal a great body  of it is in the River that has floated down in time of floods, it is principally small coal suitable for cooking stoves
Clarra got a letter from her mother saying that she expects to come up on Wednesday next.

[[underlined]] Tuesday 9.[[/underlined]] Mrs. Peale is rather better today than yesterday. I planted three rows of celery this morning.
Mrs. Hubley, Abert, Clarra, Louisia & Fanny went a fishing after an early dinner, caught a number of small fish. Edward this afternoon bough 5 stears to fat @ 5 ct. per Lb. he sent a load of hay to St. Clair & brought back coal.

[[underlined]] Wednesday 10.[[/underlined]] Mrs. Peale is better today. 
Harriet came from Phila. this morning.  brought with her a great treat, a basket of ripe Peaches. [[underlined]] She weighs 124 Lb.[[/underlined]] Mrs. Try has been working for me in the garden all day. [[dash underlined]] Susan Deebert [[/dash underlined]] came this morning in the place of Carry. We all took supper this evening with Fanny it being her birth day, 4 years old. she presided alongside of her mother with her tea set.

[[underlined]] Thursday 11.[[/underlined]] I painted the greater part of the day on N. 103 finished the bunch of Hamburg Grapes in it from a bunch which Burd sent up which I got last evening. 
Mrs. Peale slept all night till 4 oclock and is much better and chearful today. 
Brother George brough down 3 gentlemen this morning James Peale, Henry W. Arcy and Samuel S. Cavin members of the Gerard College & Common Council of Phila. they were much pleased with our paintings &c.
James Peale went up to see his sick cousin. 
It clouded up this afternoon from the s w and then rain passed over the river
