Emma, Mary Eliza and Eddy Patterson have returned from their schools. We got home after dark.

[[underlined]] Wednesday 14. [[/underlined]] Rain commenced last evening and continued this morning until about 9 when then commenced to snow from n e.
I painted all day on N. [[strikethrough]] 101 [[/strikethrough]] 100. made several alterations of the birds &c.

[[underlined]] Thursday 15. [[/underlined]] I painted all day on N. 100 nearly finished the back ground.
37°. calm, dence fog. 55°. w, clo 4 w. about 4 quite smart hail fall 45°. calm, clo 4 w.
[[underlined]] Friday 16. [[/underlined]] I painted all the morning on N. 100. 
This afternoon Eddy Patterson brought down E. Hubley and some fine grafts for Edward. Also a letter from Mary & one from Burd, May is much better and walked about the room. Mrs. Peale is also better, but Dolly is very low and hardly expected to live.
I went out this afternoon to see if I could do anything in the garden, but found the ground too wet to do anything. D. Try [[Fry ?]] commenced to patch up the fence around it this afternoon.

[[left margin note]] A Tur? [[/margin note]] Louesia sat a Turkey with 17 eggs in the spring lot. [[left margin note]] A hen [[/margin note]] and a hen (yellow) in the wash house with   Turkey eggs. Hen with chicken eggs.
[[underlined]] Saturday 17. [[/underlined]] I painted all day on N. 100. 
Edward Hubley went home this morning in the Carrs.
Cleaned the walk at the back door of the grape cuttings &c.

[[underlined]] Sunday 18. [[/underlined]] I finished sweeping and cleaning the 3 chambers, stairs and enterys this morning. 
Fredrick Patterson this afternoon brought home Mrs. Peale, Mary & Julia from Potte. Mrs P bore her ride much better than I expected she would. 
Gave Frederick some of my Rheubarb Plants and some strawberry plants. 
The day has been the most pleasant that we have had for some time.
