[[underlined]] Monday 19 [[/underlined]] I called on Mr. M[[superscript]]c[[/superscript]]. Alister this morning he was not in.  also at M[[superscript]]r[/superscript]]. Earls, saw several beautiful pictures, then to the Academy of the Fine Arts, for a short time, sister Harriet called & spent an hour with us, she was much pleased with our arrangements & rooms.

[[underlined]]Tuesday 18 [[/underlined]] This morning I painted all the flower-pots green and then commenced to paint, I did but little only prepared for tomorrow. Mary also commenced laid in the dead colours of M[[superscript]][[r]][[/superscript]] Shannan.
After dinner Harriet Shippen came, then [[Judge?]] Hubley  came with Margaret Walker and then James Peale came all remained until dusk, I then washed our brushes & cleaned up.

[[underlined]]Wednesday19.[[/underlined]]  Purchased a bathing pan for Dickey class & wicks for lamp &c.  Assisted Mary with the flowers &c.  did not paint any today, not being properly fixed for it.
William Patterson came to see us.

[[underlined]]Thursday 20.[[/underlined]]  I purchased a light Table with a drawer for my paints $3.  Engaged window shades to keepout the sun while painting.

[[underlined]]Friday 21.[[/underlined]]  Had shades put to the parlour windows cost $9. (white linnen) to keep out the sun.  
Mary and I went with Mr. [[Fader?]] to see his pictures [[?]] he has not hung the whole of them yet in his new boarding house in Vine St. N. Corner of [[?]]  His furniture is not unpacked yet, his collection is very large and fine.  
on our return home, we found [[Rosalba?]] Underhill, Mr. Jacobs, and Mary, they are much pleased with our rooms.
Maria and Margaretta Peale called.  Mary & I called to see Mrs. Anna Dunkin.
Emma got a piano to practice on instead of going to Miss Thorps.
