Anna Peale called this afternoon to arrange for her lesson tomorrow.
I put in a new back-ground in N. 121 & 122.

[[underlined]] Tuesday 16. [[/underlined]] I painted until Mr. Moran came and in the afternoon on N. 123 dead-colouring it, it is a copy of Marys Black Hamburg Grapes. [[left margin note]] [[I miss [[?]] [[?]] Anna Peale]] [[/margin note]] Present this morning Anna Sellers, Anna Peale and Mrs. Hazleton it being Anna Peales lesson she chosed a shell with flowers red, blue & white. Mr. Moran made but poor progress in this picture it being his first attempt at flowers, the shell he got in very well, he first made a sketch of the [[?]] with charcoal and then coloured it.
Sister Harriet called during the lesson, she was surprised that I had painted so much since her last visit. Mrs. Hubley called this morning.
After breakefast Edward, Louisia & Fanny went out Edward returned and dined here. Louisia came this evening, to sleep here.

[[underlined]] Wednesday 17. [[/underlined]] I painted the greater part of the day on N. 122 and N. 123.
Lydia and Mary eliza, & Mrs. Theadore Thompson of Ashland called this morning.
Louisia went to her Fathers soon after breakefast but didnot see Edward before he left for the farm. she and Fanny came this evening to stay with me tonight and Anna had come before her. Louisia stayed.

[[underlined]] Thursday 18. [[/underlined]] I painted all day on N 92 & 122. Louisia went out soon after breakefast and went to w. Phila saying that Anna Peale would be here at 5 oclock I waited until 6 for her I then went to Charles's, it soon begun to rain and I slept there. Burd called in the morning.
Mary came home from N. York at 7 she found Anna here, and Anna then went home.
[[underlined]] Friday 19. [[/underlined]] I left Charles's soon after breakefast and painted all the morning on N. 121.
In the afternoon I packed up the two pictures and directed the box to F. Patterson for the Express.
Louisia & Fanny came this afternoon & went home it dusk to W. Pa.
