  Edward, Louesia Fanny and A.L. Hubley came & spent the afternoon here.

[[underlined]]Saturday 3.[[/underlined]] I painted all the morning on N.107 although it was very dark & cloudy. 
  Burd came in this morning, & Edward this afternoon, charles this evening. Mr. Sam B Fuler left our board this morning he will be quite a loss to us, he had removed his pictures before  we came to the city and arranged most of them in his appartments.  but the lady couldnot get possession of the house until now so he now will board with her.

 [[underlined]]Sunday 4[[/underlined]] I started with Mary to go to church this morning we got nearly to 7th. street when I had to stop, I become so much overcome with pain in my chest, back, and arms and it was with difficulty that Mary could be urged to gow on without me. In about half an hours repose I was quite restored. Spent the day nearly alone for Emma was studying her lessons for tomorrow.

[[underlined]]Monday 5.[[/underlined]] I painted all the morn on [[?]] watched Mr Moran while giving instruction to Mrs. Cristie, Anna Peale, Mary & I. We went over the sea piece that Anna had painted and made it look well, he also rubbed out a copy of his by Mrs. Cristie & chalked out another design on it for her &c. we were all highly delighted with his free touches on the sea piece so much so that we are all going to make copys of it.
I painted on N.107. Edward came this morning After tea Mary and I rode up to Charles & spent the morning there.

[[underlined]]Tuesday 6.[[/underlined]] I painted all the morning, commencing a copye of Mr. Morans sea peice  N.108. and a study to give me freedom of touch &c N.109. Edward came this morning and William Patterson who took Emma to the theatre.
