Dear Dave,

I regret to say that my proposed trip in August with the overhauled Land Rover is no longer feasible. Virginia was in the hospital recently for an operation to clear a partial blockage in a neck artery. Although she is convalescing well and hopes to be back at work soon, I think it would be inadvisable for me to be away on a lengthy journey in the near future. I am now hoping to make the trip in May next year. So if the Land Rover is in running order I shall be glad if it can be operated occasionally to keep it working. Please let me know what the overhaul has cost and I will send you a check.

Virginia joins me in regards and best wishes to Pat and yourself.

Yours ever,
