Sept 8 1897 In examining these plates it was noticed that the image of one star in the corner near the number was familiar in the I min exp than in the 30 s exp. also that another star image was almost equally bright in the 1 min & 2 min exp & very familiar in the 30 s exp. Possibly some fanet in exposure (like holding the cap of one side of lens)might have produced these effects. DS. In general the effects of 30s exp show more contrast with 1st exp. than 1 min exp does with 2 min. Mr Munoz suggests passing clouds as cause of change in brightness |
