I've checked all species names on google but have kept Vernon's original spelling. Anything I'm not sure of is in [[?]] Dipodomys= kangeroo rat Thomomys = pocket gopher. Spermophilus beecheyi = california ground squirrel & is correct transcription [[Alila?]] may possibly be Visalia as that's a town between Bakersfield and Fresno.
