Caught in my bath again by the professor de Francaise this is twice. Maid was late with the petite and thats what I get up by. Got a new cook today new cooks are getting to be an old story.

After the lesson I was finishing my breakfast and Hall came in. Went to Luxombourg & later ran across Twacthman

After dinner or lunch we three with T's kid brother took the boat up the river as far as they run, and they walked up for half and hour. The country is very handsome, river, canal & a smaller canal running side by side, tall trimmed trees, popalars and some cedars. The pink, blue, yellow and exquisite white houses against the big hill, with reflections in the green canal were very fine very cool. Hoover around to say good bye. Called & Miss Sargent & then home to find crowd in my room with lamp surrounded by grub & hot chocolate & whipped cream

Sunday continued-
Best since I left home. Hoover lingered a few minutes after the others. Then we said good bye for keeps. Hate to have him go

Rotten dinner tonight, no meal of any sort whatever. Place is getting strictly vegetarian to much so for me.

----------Monday 13----

Too black to paint this AM so I had model talk French all the morning. Tried to arrange the drapery in a better way also.

Went this P.M. to Gandara's atelier & the Russian girl cornered me for a criticism.

Great stunt it was to us she understands no English & my vast knowledge of French got some what worn out. Dont think much of the work they were doing. Model was very nice though - Evening in & fire out. These gr[[strikethrough]]e[[/strikethrough]]ates make me sick.
