 Model showed up as I did not expect her and I had to make a hurried toilet
 Did a lot today on the canvas.  It funny how many lots there are on one canvas.  Its like a western town that has been formed
 This p.m. it rained some but Miss Sargent & I went out to Charenton.  It was bully out there, best Ive seen it yet & lots of fun in the rain.
 Apres dinner got roped in for Concert Rouge, five girls & me, poor me.
 Four American beauties with chaperon & one man wanders in there & say I get prouder of me country all the while  They were peaches.  Not the man.

Model came, no later than usual which is somewhat strange as she usually is.  When she left I thought I had some pretty fine but like a damn fool I worked on it after lunch & now I know Ive got something pretty rotten.
 Looked at 10 Rue Xavier but aint much stuck on it sort of like a coal bin.
 Got my shoe tonight and he certainly done fine.  Its a great job.
 French lesson tonight.  Paid Cannolle for ten lessons in advance tonight.
 I guess I cant paint but there are lots that do worse that think they can - funny isn't it?
 Miss Power the little Irish girl left today, Mary we have missed you already.
 Miss Le Gierse has invited me to her concerto More dress suit
