Very dark this a.m. so I stayed home and worked some on the Butterfly. The model poses for me next Sunday for the hand and sleeve. Think I pulled it some together today.
After lunch I went to the Luxombourg. The head, by Rodin, of the woman is certainly very wonderful and very beautiful. Its as subtle as anything Ive ever seen I think. Peeked through the curtain into the Ecole Estrangers and saw Sargents Carmencita down as far as the chin. I was so pleased to think Id see that and probably Whistler's Mother that I almost shouted.
Went around to see Hall after wards for a while.
French tonight. In the neck as usual.
