1 A.M. Paris. just in from the Boulevards.  Great sights along Montmartre.

Great fete here in Paris, make much more of it than of Xmas Notice streets full of families six or eight kids & pere et mere makeing and returning New Year calls.  Great stunt when bus comes 

Letter from Major, he was married Dec. 19th to Miss Laughton.  

[[underlined]]Jack [[/underlined]] sent me very nice tobacco pouch for Xmas which came yesterday as my mail comes by way of London.

Called on the Sargents to start them allright for the new year.

Hall was around in the evening & we had a nice talk.

Madame blew herself and gave us Champagne for dinner just a smell a piece.
