 Made a sketch in the garden this A.M. & the gendarme nailed me for a permit.  Wouldnt that rust you.  A public garden and if you want to sketch there you have to write to all France for permission.
 Started a portrait of Nidemyer this afternoon & waited for those d---n frames. Jews is no name for these curses. They came a 6.45
 Did a still hunt for some one to take the pictures around to the Champ de Mars.
 French lesson.
 Wrote a letter to the man that owns the Jardin du Luxembourg.
 I am going to bed now.

 Did Hustle on pictures to get them in frames & ready for the man to take.
 Hurried lunch & dressed to go to Mr. Gay show Georges Petites galleries Rue Sége.
 Better show, than the other I saw.  Gay things were easily the best I think
 One or two of Thaulows were nice, also one of Gaston la Touche.  Queer Rodin there about two thirds of a man.  Rather nice in spots - I thought good Impression of struggling strength.
 Got canvas off all right & I suppose they will come back tout de suite.
 Saw Twachtman today. Fraid he had been sitting up to long.  Seemed a bit tired.
 Got letter from mother & Uncle Will has been to Boston on a flying visit.  Guess they were glad to see him.
