Whit Monday [[/preprinted]]
Went this A.M. to a polo game the first I have ever seen and I think it's my game without doubt if I can get the money to play it with. Some of the ponies were beauties and the play was I should say very good.
Prado closed early today on account of the review of the troops so we didn't get in, but hung around for the show and got into the craziest crowd I ever saw, they gave the police and gendarmes no end of lip and trouble and after all nobody saw much so we hustled out and home and got to the house just in time to see the young king go by on his new horse at the head of his staff. He sits his horse well and looks very distinguished indeed. I guess he'll do alright.
Evening in.
