According to an old time custom in the land of the Gods this day is set apart in our family as one day and called "Willies birthday" as having thusly reminded myself, have made a notch on this "berg" according.
Said day being the first before Thursday and following Tuesday and therefore the Fourth. This haveing been satisfactorily proven. Twachtman and I hired a couple of horses and rode into the country. Second time I've been on a horse in eleven years. "Getting old my boy."
It was great, country was beautiful and horses were very good indeed and enjoyed it as much as we.
Struck a high hill with big pines on it a slope stretching to the sky was covered with purple and gold flowers and to the right the blue mts. the snow patches glistening. like diamonds in the sunlight and stunning clouds hanging around them. Did us a pile of good allright. Another time yes?
