Cashed the check for 5 that Mother & Father sent me. Hot? well rather away up in G and everything [[underlined]] sizzling [[/underlined]] Twachtman and I went Horseback down the river and found a beautiful spot near a big wild white rose bush among lots of trees and fine grass under foot. Took saddles off the horses and bits out and they ate and rolled and had an elegant Sun got some down and we got out again and went further down through big meadows & trees till we came to a big herd of beautiful bulls knee deep in the grass growing up for the ring. Hope they kill lots of Spaniards. Back to the rose bush, forded the river and rode toward the sunset to town and it was fine all the way.
