Rubbered at the Prado. When we came out it was pouring sheets - were all afloat. Had lunch at 3:00. Made a couple of pencil sketches out the window. Ordered a canvas with hopes of painting Senorita on it tomorrow. Bought the biggest "Los Meninas" I could find. Eight pesatas. Been raining all afternoon. In tonight.

Started "Senorita" this A.M. Fool man made the canvas some six inches too narrow. This P.M. we all went for a walk in the country and for a swim like wise. River was much higher owing to the rains of past few days.

Stopped at a little cafe coming home near a bully old gate. Made little drawing of it.

Dinner at twenty minutes of nine. Strikes me as just a trifle late - specially when it gets to be the regular things. Yes?
