Worked on Senoritas head a while this morning, its no worse. Got a note from Miss Ferriss also and she is to be at the Hotel Normandy, Paris the 26 or 27[[superscript]]th [[/superscript]] of this month.
Went with the family & "senorita" Mead to the gardens at Bombilla again today. They are certainly very beautiful. Unkempt and almost wild, the remains of some once magnificent & on a very grand scale A new American today Miss King from Boston, school teacher hablas espanol muy bien. Lived for ten years in Argentine Rep. Brother wrote guides to Boston etc.

Just finished dinner at 10.30 and the last course was an apple pie which Miss Canedy made and brought over for the bunch as it is her birthday. I shut my eyes & filled my mouth with pie & it took me thousands of miles from here at one jump back to the pie belt and under the belt. Dropped a line to Margery today

Senorita this morning after a short visit to the Prado, after lunch went to the "Real" Armeria Royal Armory with Misses King, Canedy & Mead and then to San Francisco el Grande where we saw some fine carving but I don't care for the church much. The Armory was fine The armor and weapons som of it very old as far back as 700 A.D. from Toledo was beautifully made and some of the guns pistols & swords inlaid with gold were beauties.
Miss King leaves tomorrow for Toledo & so on to Gibralter where she sails for America. Took my address and said she would go out to the house and see Mother. Hope she will.
