Gallery in the morning Lunch bought two small canvases When I got home Sattler the Englishman came in and while he was looking at my reproductions Niedermeyer came. I put down a very abbreviated grub and N. & I went to hear "Freishütz" one of Weber's operas and the most popular with the German people. Probably on account of the staging. After we went into one of the oldest and largest of Berlins Cafes on Unter den Linden. The people are long on that here for fair, places and always full.
Home and bunk.

Talked some German with Frau Nagi and grubbed early and met Niedermeyer at the Zoological Gartens and we went out to the Royal Forest "Grüne Wald" and took a long walk in the woods. There was a little snow and it was almost making more and things were lovely. All the lakes were frozen over and much good skating was [[limpling??]], nice
Home and Madame Nagi asked me in to meet a bunch of whats in [[?]] room and surround some grub. The little Italian girl was a peach but more changeable than a humming bird in the sun and it was fun to watch her with the men. Grubbed and talked a bit - So?
