Warm today, everything melting 
Gallerie and after painted some. Dug a little German and tried to hear "Fidelio" but found everything was sold so came home and had a little conversation in Deutch and a beer in the new cafe.

Ember Week [[/preprinted]]

  Rainy all day. Morning in the galleries. Lunch and started a head of Herr Seling. Wrote Harvey and nach etwas Deutch.
Grubbed and Dutch talked some with Herr Seling.
  Saw an apparition in the National gallery this A.M. from America. I think without doubt. All in mourning except for a light coat. She was not so very pretty but oh! my! she was the limit-------------
  But the pictures are schrechlick sure thing.
