[[preprinted]] 14 [[/preprinted]] [[margin]] Barbados [[/margin]] car from Mr Jester. We are to have it until Sunday. The table conversation at this place is just about getting us down. People who inflict their family deaths on other people are about the worlds worst. [[underlined]] Wednesday March 11, 1936 [[/underlined]] We went out early this morning to do collecting over near Bathsheba. The country in those parts is beautiful. We went to Frizers where we delivered a letter & were told that we could wander about on the estate as we pleased. We collected near a little stream on the estate, and I saw more colored dragon flies than I've ever seen before. I saw a brick red, blue green, and pea green one, as well as many shades of brown & black. We also saw some huge dark gray green frogs. We had lunch in the grounds of Codrington College - a lovely old place, with beautiful oaks. We were pretty tired when we got home and I was ready for a rest. Dick began reading "Behind that Curtain" to me. We went to bed fairly early. This time we went out along Route #3 thru' St Joseph, St Andrews, St Peter[[strikethrough]]s[[/strikethrough]] and St Lucy then back along Route #1 thru' Speightstown & Holetown to Bridgetown. The view from Bissex Hill in St Joseph is one of the loveliest I've ever seen. The cane fields in different shades of green, and the wind mills, with the rugged coastline to the west, is a sight well worth seeing. How lucky the police are to have a station on top of this hill! We had lunch at River Bay in St Lucy. Here Dick caught some insects & we had a most hilarious time catching some small tide water fish. A Staph may be fast, but these fish have them beat all hollow. After lunch we went to the Animal Flower cave but didn't go in as they wanted 1/ [[strikethrough]] to [[/strikethrough]] entrance. The shore line here looks like La Jolla, California, only the rocks are much more inaccessible. We took a picture of the breaking waves which should be a dandy. The ride home was rather uneventful. We were tired and hot when got home. This evening we went to dinner
