Bet. 3:30 and 5 p.m. stopped for 1 1/2 hrs at Scott Field [[insertion]] airfield [[/insertion]] It is Mats U.S. Headquarters. Quite a place, but not so many planes as you would think the size of place and many buildings would warrent
Fayler said could give me lump sum check at end of job. I asked when McD asked how I was to be paid.

Nov 24 We got into Travis at 9-30 [[insertion]] P.M. [[/insertion]] but it was an hour or more before we got into our room. Crowell and I met Ken Moulton. He and I went out to get a bite to eat, scrambled fried + bacon 3-4 strips & rolls & [[underlined]] butter [[/underlined]] & 2 cups of [[underlined]] coffee [[/underlined]] I walked to & from [[underlined]] terminal [[/underlined]] & only ate half of my bacon. Got back to room at 12± & to bed at 12:30 or 1 p.m.
