5 now - but I hope to finish this here - between now & Dec 1st - when I suppose I must go down to N.Y. and when I do - I can take a direct train from here - just down at the end of the street - & it gets me there earl((y))the next morning - & saves a lot of bother. If I were flush I would go via Boston & then I would surely see you. but it doesn't work that way & Boston never really satisfies me. Anyhow dear Helen - kind of you to ask me for [[?]] & I should visit an evening if as I did the last time - Love and best wishes always Marsden. I must now write a letter to the game warden up Katahdin way - as he knows all that country & has offered to drive me from [[?]] over and up to this Dean Wrty [[guess?]] at the Mt. 5.00 a day and for: hunting, camp. but there's no other way & I [[underlined]] must get [[/underlined]] that Mt. for future reasons of fame & success.
