Was waked up at 5.15. and it was a scrabble to get to the station - and not miss out again - but I made it
The train was terribly crowded - not only with soldiers on leave. but with Sports-fishermen and huntsmen with dogs - It was very uncomfortable for a couple of hours
It was a long day down to Bordeaux arrived there at 10.30 and slept in a little ground floor room. in a caffe near station
Bordeaux is a hard place to find rooms in these times
Saw Marmott - the Entertainment man [he looks more like a funeral director than what he is - did all I had to do with him, and caught the 11 oclock train to Paris arriving here at 9.30 and glad to get back. and into a tub of hot water
