It is the beginning of the end surely but the Allies are all of a mind - the soldiers and their countrymen behind them that - no let up must be given our dirty despicable child and woman killing foe - He must be chased and exterminated - until the power which made him military is broken up and rendered impotent.
Sam Davis and I realized that we had to provide Christmas for our sailors as well as our soldiers - - We can do it.

The statue of Lille was all covered with flags and wreaths.
The walls of the city are pasted with the splendid posters of the New Loan - some of them perfect stunners
One of the best  a Poilu tearing the black eagle apart - and another fine one - the Kaiser (damn him) with bowed head - being persued by the standard bearers - a very spirited picture
A full moon - and clear and cold. which is what the Armies want for their continued chase - The Americans have their work cut out for them. in the hardest sector on the
