Wea.  FRI. MAY 27, 1927  Ther.   
Found "Ice" covered with white spots, took out of frame to dry.  A casting up accounts.  I writing up diary. "Ice" all right by evening as to white spots, but lumpy all over - In afternoon to Huntington - looked at hats - I bought white duck pants after marketing & [[illegible writing in center crease of page]] urging on Capns' boat.  I brought back straw hat - Book & put all paintings in frames. 

Wea.  SATURDAY 28   Ther.
Up at 5.20 - Put "Ice" in frame, A went for Hanks left Halesite at 6.50 & arrived at [[?]] [[?]] at 8.10.  ^[[303-]] Had awful shock - everything else in [[?]] aesthetically more beautiful.  Steiglitz came about 9.30, sat looking - nodded his head - said "Very handsome, very complete & sensitive."  O'Keeffe came in later - sat on floor put paintings on chair & looked at each.  Thought working in boat affected them - people couldn't see what was in them  S. said "If she's done them close let people look at them close - "like the photographs." A beautiful child in - Jeanette.  All to lunch.  Back at 1.45 - reached home about 4.  Rowena along. [[more notation in center seam of diary]] A to Patsy[[?]] [[the rest is illegible?]]

A queer "afterwards" day.  Hank, Holly, & Rowena in -

Wea.   MONDAY 30   Ther.
Post card from Phil Tysons saying he's happily married.  Decoration day to some.  A & I re-planing inside & out.  Idea of simplyfing interior by painting mahogany white & seats & covers same. Tried sail & old awning onto inclose cock pit. I reading Tock book.  Out in P.M. in dink for run.
Looked at S. Monday & they stopped here.
