Wea.     WED. JULY 6, 1927     Ther.
Feeling rather shaky, but both in to N.Y. on 8.09.  Took taxi up to Raleighs.  Had aromatic amonia, & Andy & I to Dr - who is a fine one.  He examined me generally - took history & all that.  Back, & in P.M I had bath & lay down.  A out making sketches in morning, & working on drawings all afternoon.  Holly cooked dinner for me others had theirs sent up.  To bed early.

Wea.     THURSDAY 7     Ther.
Up late - A took drawings to Scribners - all crazy about them & will pay $250.  Also give A next D.M. story.  Holly & I to Dr.  He made blood test, pumped out stomach, & pelvic examination - Gave me prescription, & said it would be $10, per exam.  Am to go next Friday.  Out to Jap restaurant for lunch, back to studio & all started for Halesite.  Had supper in tea room on way.  Just made boat before thunder storm.

To store & did chores, also looked at Yacht Club for winter.  Holly & Hank [[piece of paper with entry attached to page over original diary page]]  High wind.  Tin boat caught on float & turned over.  A & Al set it up & pumped out.  A put books & things in Yacht Club.  I painted - no good.  A to Huntington got more frame material - copper & brass - made 3 frames in P.M.  Both tired & to bed at 7 P.M  Check for "Old Man [[?]] from Youths Companion. [[?]] [[?]] man's head came down hatch - & said we were to be hauled out.  A back, we were hauled out.  A to Huntington.  I did up boat, got lunch & in P.M. wrote up food book & diary.  Men got boat cleaned & one coat paint on.
