Wea.     SAT. JULY 30, 1927     Ther.
Manuscript from Youths Comp. not wanted until Sept.  Both to Huntington marketing.  Stocked up with ice etc. and out to sand works, tied up to to dock.  Supt. to see if we were rum runners.  A handed up $2.00 in scallop net.  We talked of little house, they want $150 for summer.  Both in swimming.  Ate in cock pit.

Wea.     SUNDAY 31     Ther.
I not feeling well again, indigestion.  A clammed & had clam order.  Did note for storm painting in P.M.  Very beautiful sky.  Blacks here, Taphouse saw silver tops on masts.  I in swimming in morning, think it's not so good.

A got a lot of clams.  I cleaned boat.  Back to Halesite in morning.  Thunderstorm & hard rain in afternoon.  A wrote to his mother.  I read Youths Comp. story out.

Arthur's birthday, I had only a note pinned to curtain for him.  We had a nice day, more or less loafed.
