Arthur painting. I to Huntington doing marketing & chores -

Wea.    SUNDAY 25     Ther.
Fixing boat & lunch - Kathleen, Clyde & Richard Eddy here at 1 o'clock.  Had lunch, & Clyde casually told of his try being the second man to succeed with an expedition to go through the grand canyon rapids.  Showed us some photographs.  Down to old light house in boat, had swims - too cold.  Back to mooring made fire in ship mate - had nice talk, supper & Key limes. They fetched flowers, chicken, bread & cabage[[?]].

Both painting - A worked on "Spiral line - more forces."  I on Cedar trees - no good.

Wea.    TUESDAY 27     Ther.
Arthur started painting from lighted candles, I rowing & making drawings.  Cold, made coal fire.
