OCTOBER SATURDAY-16 Fish!! Mackerel! A to Huntington marketing & to get photo supplies. I scrubbed paint in boat. At noon A got Herb Roselle & out to gravel pit fishing. Caught 800 or more - filled fish basket twice & dumped in dink then again nearly full. A little lunch at 4.P.M. Zerb[[??]] Carl & party anchored beside us, all made us feel we were on their spot to the inch! A & Herb took fish ashore & fed the multitudes like the sermon on the mount. SUNDAY-17 Rain & wind. A to P.U. & found himself a hero - much funny talk & stirring up among the rival fishin experts. Had mackerel for lunch, delicious. A working on drawings. I made B.V.D. in afternoon. [[end page]] [[start page]] OCTOBER MONDAY-18 A working on Pic. R. story I posing for women again. Both out in afternoon for a look at boats & to P.O. & store. Posed & A drew till 11.P.M. to get direct light from lantern. TUESDAY-19 A drawing ^[[on]] P.R. I posing a little, painted in P.M. ^[[no good]] Late in afternoon I walked to Huntington, got two artificial flowers for Mother's birthday. A nailed stakes to dock. Letters from A's mother, Chub with letter from Mary to Mother & Mother to Chub. A helped with Archer house boat in evening.
